Yaesu Ft-897 With At-897, Md-100, Ac & Dc Power Cords Picture(s) and Description:
It's almost field day! I have the pefect protable radio for you. This is my FT-897 I dont use it very much, I mostly use my FT-100D. So it's time to clear out my shack and give a fellow ham the chance to own this great little radio. The AT-897 has rubber feet that enable you to carry and store this system like a brief case. There is nothing wrong with this radio. I guarantee not to be DOA and will refund if it is.
I have a DC battery and bolt on elcosure somewhere, if I find it I will include it also. So the battery will be a bonus if I can find it on one of my shelves.
Below is the radio description from the Yaesu Web site.
American hams got their first look at the new Yaesu FT-897 at the 2002 Dayton Hamvention. It is the world's first multi-mode high-power base/mobile transceiver designed to fitted with internal batteries (optional) for portable use. It is ideal for home, vacation, emergency, rescue, DX-pedition or VHF/UHF rover operation. With optional items the FT-897 system can be configured for mobile, base or portable use.
The large multi-color display can be programmed to show different colors on each band, mode, memory group or event to track signal strength by color! There are two antenna connectors HF/50 and 144/430. 7.9x3.2x10.3 inches (200x80x263 mm). The FT-897 comes with a MH-31 hand mic and power cord.

The Yaesu MD-100 desk mic features a cardioid dynamic mic element. It features UP-DOWN tuning (on compatible Yaesu transceivers). There is a scan switch, a switch for PTT (push to talk) and also a lock feature. The frequency response is 100 to 5000 Hz. Sensitivity is -75dB (0 dB=1 V/0.1 Pascal). Impedance is 500 ohms unbalanced. Weight is 24 ounces (670 grams).
On the bottom of the mic base there is a High Emphasis switch and a Low Cut Switch. The mic comes with a special "reversible" cable that can terminate to a Yaesu 8 pin mic plug or a Yaesu modular plug (for FT-857/897). Click here to view larger. Click here to frequency response. This mic works well with the FT-840, FT-847, FT-857/D, FT-890, FT-897/D, FT-990, FT-1000 and FT-1000MPV. It does not work on some older Yaesu transceivers such as the FT-757GXII and FT-736R. Please also note that Yaesu desk mics such as the MD-100 will not work on Yaesu mobile radios due to differences in impedance.
I found the DC Battery, Charger and bottom cover, see added pictures. Happy Bidding!
