Kenwood TM-742A Tri-Band 144/220/440 MHz Ham Radio Xcvr Picture(s) and Description:
Kenwood TM-742A TRI-Band 144/220/440 Mhz Transceiver plus Kenwood external speaker, Comet CFX-324 Triplexer and Comet SBB-224 Tri-band mobile 144/220/440 Antenna. This is part of an estate sale. It was originally used mobile, but has been out-of-service for the last 3 years. It has always been in a non-smoking environment. I just hooked it up and made a couple of repeater QSOs, with good reports, to make sure that it was still working OK. Some of the cables were cut when it was removed from the mobile installation. I spliced them up (except for the extra mic extension cable) to make sure that the transceiver was working OK. The the last two feet of coax feedline for the antenna was cut-off when it was removed, but I installed a new PL-259 connector and there is still 12 of feedline remaining. I believe everything works OK, but I am not familiar with this radio so it is being sold with a 3 day money back (buyer pays return shipping) option if you need to return it. I do not have the mobile bracket or the original box.
