Kenwood Desk Microphone, Model MC-85 Up for your bid is this very nice Kenwood Desk Microphone, Model MC-85. This microphone is a unidirectional electret condenser desk microphone. It features UP-DOWN tuning for compatible Kenwood transceivers plus a built-in audio level compensation, preamp and a level meter. The MC-85 can handle up to three 8 pin inputs with additional PG-4F cables. There are optional cables for 4 pin (PG-4D) and 6 pin (PG-4E) radios. Power for this Microphone can come from certain Kenwood models (check your owners manual). For other models, four AA cells can be installed in the MC-85’s base. This 700 ohm microphone has a 300 to 7000 Hz response. This microphone has been tested with a Kenwood TS-930S. It worked well! There is little wear. The battery compartment is corrosion free! The only problem noted was that the foam microphone cover is missing. This does not effect the performance of the mike when used indoors. I do ship world-wide. Any questions, feel free to ask!
