ICOM IC-746 HF/VHF HAM RADIO TRANSCEIVER TECH SPECIAL Picture(s) and Description:
Up for auction: one Icom IC-746 Technichian special. The radio is in excellent cosmetic condition, however it is the victim of a lightning strike. It powers on and sometimes the screen comes up and the radio looks like it is ready to work and other times it simply gives a blank screen. I have included pictures of both situations. I took the covers off so that potentail buyers could see the inside of both the top and bottom of the radio. I can't see anything that looks obviously burned out. The receiver does hear when the radio comes up but the sensitivity is low. The transmitter keys up but doesn't appear to be producing power. I think there is an issue with the antenna relay. The radio is being sold in as is condition. Included with the auction is the IC-746, matching microphone, manual, and original box. Thanks
