Gemtronics GTX-5000 tube 40 Ch CB Radio VINTAGE ham Picture(s) and Description:
Gemtronics GTX-5000 tube type 40 Ch. CB Radio base station with extras! For auction is an early 60’s Gemtronics CB radio with built in funny’s. Radio was used about 9 years ago and was in great working order. The radio I bought around 1990 and had several modifications done to it. Beyond the upper and lower channels (Funnys), I replaced several of the tubes and got the Turner Super Sidekick desktop mic for it. I am also including the original mic that I got with the unit, Speaker that I used (not sure if the speaker in the CB works), SWR meter that I put a 12 volt light in, and a noise box that I have that I believe is wired for a cobra mic (don’t need it, It’s yours!). As you can see in the picture it does power up but I didn’t want to key it up as I don’t have an antenna and I didn’t want to blow out the finals.
